Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

This place is all about what you decide to get. If you get something they don't make well, it probably won't be great. However, if you know what to get it is fantastic. A couple of items are really good value and food. These are the pizza slices, the cheese steak sub deal, and the chicken salad on a garden salad. All of these items will give you a good meal for a good value. Now some people I know and have actually eaten with here, have gotten some of the other sandwiches and not liked them at all. I can't comment on that but I would be mindful to what you get.

We have ordered here for work quite often recently. Some of my coworkers love it and as a result this has been the go to place for recent team builders .. Today, I tried the chicken cheesesteak sub on a whole wheat wrap. The meat was very good and flavorful. My wrap however was very soggy. Probably not such a good idea to order it on the wrap. I also split an order of old bay with a coworker . They were very crispy. I thought that they were good but my coworker thought they were too dry. My one complaint is that they do not make sorting out large orders so easy. The handwriting was virtually illegible and I actually wound up eating another persons food. All in all an average experience .

Conveniently located in the same shopping center as my closest supermarket, Pizza Town is a tasty, quick dinner option in my area! Authentic Italian/Sicilian food operated by Italian/Sicilians. The cashier is a bit hard to understand, but I appreciate the authenticity! I found the pizza to be super cheesy, not much sauce which is perfect for me taste. Hubby had their cheesesteak. He thought it was delicious, although it was super greasy! Our daughter had naked wings and enjoyed them as well. I will say that the pizza on display looks a bit suspect. Not sure it it is held at proper temperature. I called in my order ahead of time and as soon as I arrived he was packing it up for me. The cashier reminded to to grab my free 2 Liter soda before I left. I thought that was nice of him. I will certainly visit again.

This is my go-to pizza spot when Sam's Club runs out of their cheese pizza. The pizza isn't great, but it's consistent and ok for a Fri/Sat night take out. Don't order extra cheese, because they heap the cheese on the regular pie pretty thick -- which I appreciate. The sauce is water thin. The crust is thick but has pretty good taste. Their wings are also fine. Order time is usually 15-20 mins. I usually call right before I leave the house. By the time I get to the shopping center and gamble on parking, the order is usually ready when I approach the cashier.

I tried this for the first time last night 1/21/15. We got the thick crust pizza and it was ehh ok. Nothing spectacular or worth bragging about. It was really dead inside. We were the only customers for about a half hour and the food that they had out looked real dry and old. Not sure how long it's been on display but we made sure our pizza was fresh. Also I didn't like how we had to seat ourselves, go to the counter to order instead of someone coming to our table, then get the food ourselves once it was done. The people behind the counter just stood there.

This is my favorite delivery place. The food is awesome. We have had many of the pasta dishes. They are seasoned perfectly and full of delicious flavor. I could probably live off of their eggplant parm! Food is delivered quickly and is piping hot. The serving sizes are huge.

the pizza was good and their subs are ok, but the salads leave more to be desired. I have gotten 2 sales from here with chicken and both were dry & lifeless. Good for quick lunch, and they deliver.

Let me start off by saying that I've never tried the pizza here. Yeah, you heard right...never tried the pizza from PIZZA Town. However, I have tried several other things - subs, wraps, salads, sides. The subs and wraps are HUGE! Even when I've ordered the smaller of the two options they have they are still too much for me to eat. Salads are huge as well. And everything I've ever gotten has been delicious. I've only ordered delivery here and its always fast and gets delivered faster than what they say. Also, I've never had a wrong delivery order. Overall, I'm very impressed with the taste and size of their meals. Also, this place seems to be a lot cheaper than other pizza/wing/sub places in the OM area. Bonus!

I was in Pizza Town on Saturday and the guy who processes your order and hands you your food was picking his nose at the front hiding behind a computer screen... I was so disgusted, I watched him for a good 5 minutes cleaning out both nostrils. Another employee walked behind him and wasn't even phased by it. I will never, never, ever eat in there again. Just imagine him touching your food, your credit card and dropping his bodily fluids in the very area where he sits your food on for pick-up. Disgusted!!!!!!

I'm not a huge pizza fan, but when i do order it, i want it to be very good. I like it thin, crispy, fresh ingredients Their dough was great, the toppings were great I got a reg margherita pizza. They make their own sausage, so i got that as well I may have had better in NYC via a coal over, which is the only reason i didn't give them 5 stars

  • B C.

I would give this place negative stars if I could. Their food is average at best and their service is the worst I have ever experienced. I have worked in the restaurant industry for years and honestly have never gotten upset with service to the point of telling them how rude they are. I will never be returning to Pizza Town ever again. I recommend nobody supports this business. You should go to subway next door because they have great subs and actually respect their customers. Stay away from Pizza Town.

My family and I come here often. As a matter of fact they know my fathers name and his order, see I told we come here often. If you read my profile page, you will see where it says "Last meal on earth" part of my meal included pizza. Yeah Imma die hard pizza fan. If had a choice as to which location I could order said "last meal" it would be from here. They have a Mexican pizza that will make you say "¡Dios Mio"! To fully describe this pizza I must break it down into segments. So lets start with the dough, I'm not sure if it's fried but it has a delicious fried dough taste. The crust is golden brown with a light buttery taste. Then there is the fresh lettuce, tomatoes, seasoned ground beef and CHEESES (yeah you read it right ALL CAPS) this is a sauces less pizza but the juices from the seasoned ground beef well compensate for the lack of sauce. The cheese blend is so good and not overwhelming at all. Each topping plays it part so harmoniously its like music in your mouth. I sound like I like it don't I. The also have a sicilian pizza which is my fathers personal favorite. Thick bread like crust a healthly portion of cheese, fresh green peppers and huge pepperoni. It's too is very good, but once again this review is about what my last meal on earth would partially consist of. The crew behind the counter are polite and get you in and out pretty quickly. There is plenty of seating a small T.V. and plenty of parking. I would definitely recommend you stop in for a bite.

Most people find the pizza here average, and they are probably right, but they make pizza exactly the way I like it... light sauce and HEAVY on the cheese. They use so much, you'd think putting cheese on pizza was the cure for cancer. I get why people aren't too thrilled about it, but if you're anything like me, you'll love it.

Pizza was good. Prices were better. Delivery was quick. Pizzatown is my new neighborhood pizza delivery joint. (Unless, of course, Ledo's starts delivering!)

Solid pizza. Nothing special but cheese was great and fresh, good crust too. Nothing out of this world but definitely will stay in the rotation. 7.2 on the House Special.

Their pizza is pretty excellent. Service is hit or miss... mostly just because half the time you get someone who speaks almost no English. They also are hit or miss with delivery... we've gotten delivery before and sometimes we've called and delivery hasn't been available (and this is at like 8 p.m., not late or anything). I've gotten sandwiches and stuff there and it's been fine but the pizza is what's really good. Unfortunately it's not as wonderful reheated.

Awesome pizza but customer service is the worst!! Do not expect to be treated nicely!

Average pizza joint and it's fairly decent. I gave it 4 stars, 3 for the food and 1 for being in Owings Mills.

  • Derek G.

Great for delivery. The pizza is a bit too cheesy for my taste, but my friends like it that way. The wings are pretty darn good, though you may get a few that are too small to count as a wing. If chicken's had pinkies they would be that size. Otherwise, give the wings a try. The wraps are huge and so are the sides. I've gotten carry-out here once and like others say, customer service is not what they do best. Overall, I suggest giving it a shot next time you need delivery in the area.

  • Ali F.

It's affordable pizza. The guys behind the counter seem to have a habit of not focusing on me as a customer sometimes, though, which kinda hurts my rating for them here. But the food is actually pleasing! Not the most spectacular slices in the world, but for Owings Mills' pizza standards, I don't mind coming to them, even though I have a bunch of other pizza spots way closer to where I usually stay in the area.
